Years later, in 1971, Ahuja interrogates a captured Pakistani pilot who reveals that Tabby was decorated for bravery before his presumed death in Pakistani territory. Driven by guilt and determination, Ahuja embarks on a decades-long quest to uncover the truth about Tabby’s disappearance. In 1988, after gathering evidence and reopening the case, Ahuja learns that Tabby sacrificed himself in combat to shoot down an enemy aircraft. Tabby was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra for his extraordinary bravery.
